A blurry figure appears in my dream
Distant and faded, could she be my lover?
I run and out of breath I wonder if she seems
Closer or is she running for cover
She seems well within reach, but she's not
Cause I'm always waking
I'm making my dreams reality
But only to be breached
Always waking only to realize
My dreams are lies
Don't mind me while I rub my eyes
I won't cry but I'll try to fall asleep
Avoid the day just to stay in the night
With the moon at my back I'll take flight
What was once a blurry haunting
Is now a lifeless heap
I'm always waking
