I left you a late night message
On the tail end of my passage home
Sober in body, soulfully gone
It should be the least of your worries
As vague as I was
I needed you to hear
The sheer bliss in my voice
The calm and understanding
So let me explain
There was one night weeks ago I spent
Wishing on shooting stars with her
My shirt damp on my back but
My soul laid bare on the blanket
I wished for one word
She did the same
I suspect we wished the same concept
But our circumstances were worlds apart
Tonight I transcended into truth
My week old wish had come true
I understood what you said
For myself, and fully, I knew
My head had a different desire behind my wish
But my heart won out and warmed my existence
So as I sat in my car and the warmth came in waves
I wished only to inform you that I'd left my cave
I left you a late night message
On the tail end of my passage home
Sober in body, soulfully happy
I should be the least of your worries
